Office 365 — A brief description
Office 365 is the cloud version of the popular Microsoft Office applications used throughout business today. Office 365 is available in several different monthly plans and typically includes:
- Exchange E-mail and Calendaring (full sync across all your devices)
- Web versions of the Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Licenses for PC versions of the Office suite for use when offline
- SharePoint Online: Microsoft's document sharing and team collaboration application
- IM and voice conferencing including browser-based video conferencing and presentations via Lync.
Office 365 runs on a large variety of platforms including PCs, Macs, iPads, smartphones, tablets — almost any computing device that can access the internet through a browser.
How does LiquidPractice work on Office 365?
LiquidPractice runs as a sandbox application within Sharepoint Online in the Office 365 offering. In less technical terms, this means that the LiquidPractice application is resident within your subscription of Office 365 and is therefore backed-up and maintained by Microsoft along with your firm e-mail, documents, and whatever else you create or upload onto Office 365.
What does Office 365 cost?
Your Office 365 subscription is paid monthly per user — no capital
expenditures are required. Office 365 "E plans" range from $8 - $22
(per-user, per-month) depending on the options you select. See the links below for more information. Licensing for
LiquidPractice is billed separately and also on a per-user, per-month
subscription basis.
LiquidPractice is a Microsoft Partner and can assist your firm with its evaluation of both Office 365 and our practice management application designed to run within Office 365. If you already work with a local Microsoft Partner for your firm's desktop support needs, we can work cooperatively with them.
